The Hype & Instagrammable Cafe - THE GARDEN

Too much hype and instagrammable places these days, makes me confused actually which one to visit first. Been longing want to come here for a long time actually, but didn't get the chance because the crowd and queue. And finally I came here, especially with family! That's more precious right? Took family picture, with beautiful background? Why not?

Anyway, I came here on weekend afternoon around 3 PM (GST +7). This cafe located at PIK area. I will put the address below. I'm just feeling happy to see places with some botanical garden and plants as the ornaments. They got branch at PIM Street Gallery too, but I never visited there. Instead, I visited here because the one at PIK area more popular.

This is how the corner looks like from the front. For me it's looking good and homey feelings with some botanical plants outside. And this corner could be your photo spot too. And for your info, these corner full of real plants. They indeed spare their time to take care of this spot so it looks good everytime.

Once you step inside, you will find this corner too. I took photo of this, just because it is cute one, with little succulents there, and mini plants.

The most popular spot to take photo of. Because, they have beautiful background, with tropical colors, wood ornaments, some artificial sunflowers, and wood bench. So you can sit there, and took photo. But, respect others because you need to queue to get your turn.

You can see the crowd on weekend there? Yes, before get my seat, I listed my name in waiting list too. Not too long actually, because spent of photo taking time. Quite full packed inside, and the alley not too spacious too. So watch your step, so you don't disturb other customer and the waiters.

Came here on 3 PM, which is not the good dinner time. So, I just ordered some dessert and little salad, not the main course. For the drink, I forgot to take the picture. Pardon me, but I will explain to you what I ordered. I just ordered Ice Cendol Latte and Cappuccino for the drinks. The latte was delicious, it not too much caffeine if you're caffeine intolerant. Obviously latte, with cendol added. For the brown sugar it was added, so you can't tell the waiter to adjust as your wish. But don't worry, it was not too sweet. The sweet taste just like usually cendol.

Not Diet Today, dessert contains Chocolate Brownies, Matcha Ice Cream, Chocolate Chips, Nutella Doughnuts, Raspberry, and Peanut Brittle. How the taste? I FREAKING LOVE IT! Suitable with the name, don't think of diet because it just ruined if you taste this. I love the combination from the raspberry, nutella choux, brownies, and the ice cream. It taste sour and sweet at the same time. PERFECT if you craving for sweets. If coming here again, definitely I would order this one if I don't know what I'm going to order.

Next one, I ordered Romantic Garden Salad. Combination of Pork Belly, Fresh Cut Green Apple, served with Vinegar and Peanut Sauce. From this salad, I definitely love the taste of the pork belly. It somehow tasted like barbecued ribs. The apple itself not too sour, but with the sauce it taste sour. It's good if you taste it all together. But the herbs inside kind of have sharp smell, so be careful if you don't like the sharp taste.

Overall, I satisfied with my food, the service, and the ambience. Definitely will come here again to try again another food. And yes to take photo. Can't take much of photo because of the crowds truthfully. And the best time to come here was like around 11 AM - 3 PM (GST +7). That way, the best sunlight can get into your photo. Make it more bright! And they have Bar downstairs too, open from 5 PM. But couldn't go there because of my time. WISH YOU CAN GIVE IT A TRY!

Hidden Gem inside Plaza - Lucky Cat Coffee & Kitchen

Been looking for a time to write my experienced here, but couldn't do that because some well spent time with family for a week. So yeah, here I am just writing about this even though it's been like 2 weeks i guess. But don't worry about that, this cafe still in the hype season though, if you want to come here.

WHY I WANT TO VISIT HERE? Yes, some because of social media, said this is the instagrammable place, the place is cozy, the food is good. And so yeah I decided to try this (been a long time want to come to this place, and finally I did!)

This cafe located inside the Plaza Festival Kuningan, the cafe is right beside Bakrie University. And what's amazed me this cafe open for 24 hours. So if you are near the area, and don't know what to do and where to chill, you probably could come here. Lucky Cat Coffee & Kitchen

South Parking Plaza Festival No. 1, Jakarta, Indonesia

Step inside and you will feel the natural lighting inside. Oh my God, it's so cozy and makes me want to come here on daytime. It's bright, with some wood ornament, the classic coffee shop. For the downstairs, it quite spacious, and you could chilling out with some friends, meeting, and throw some little event here downstairs. Because it's more like space for more people.

All the orders are self-service. The waiter won't come to you to bring you the menu and notes your order. Instead, you have to come to the cashier to tell what you want to order and paid for it first. After that, then you can sit on your seat and waiting for your orders patiently. The menu are also at the cashier, but if you still want to choose then you can view the menu by Zomato. Because I did that before I came to the cashier. Try not to think too long, because the queue will be piled up.

For upstairs, it quite spacious for seats. But not for many people, like one table up for 2-5 persons. I didn't took much pictures upstairs, because the alley not too spacious for walking around.

So here's the food I ordered :

1. Spaghetti Carbonara, it contains mushrooms and bacon. The carbonara taste quite good, not too cheesy and creamy if you're not the fan of cheesy and creamy food. I'm not the big fan of some creamy food, but it taste quitely good for me and I could handle that without some chili sauce. Yeah I could rate it for 7.5 out of 10 for the taste. And the portion quite big too for pasta in cafe.

2. Chicken Donburi, contains chicken yakitori, scrambled egg, bonito flakes, with miso soup. Seriously, the portion for this menu quite big. Even I can't finish this even though I am big eater. And I will say they quitely creative. Because mostly donburi I found was chicken covered in bread crumbs, and poured the sauce over it. But this one, was chicken yakitori. The menu itself taste good for me. I rated this for 7.5 out of 10.

3. Kelepon Cake, this cake are in hype these days. And so I decided to try this kind of cake. The cake, same as usual cake out there. Not too dry, not too moist too. It's quite okay. And between the layer, they got grated coconut mixed with brown sugar. Eat the cake and coconut in the same time, and yes I liked it. It was not too sweet, so if you're not the sweet fan, or if you try to avoid sweet dessert, food, or drink then maybe you could try this. Rated 8 out 10 for this cake.

They have smoking area upstairs if you're happen want to smoke. I came here around 4 PM, and upstair it quite full packed on weekday, but I still got some seat. But, this cafe getting crowd as the night comes in. So if you want to come here and get some seat, you can come here in the afternoon or evening. But if you got spare time in the night time, just wait patiently. Come here again? Probably yes!

Hello again! It's been ages not uploading something here. Pardon me, but my mind just got blank. But here I am again and I wish could upload something here consistently, not about food only of course.

Anyway, just come here yesterday for chilling out with some old friends, not too old actually. When you and your friends got different workplaces, it's just so difficult to arrange some hangout or meeting (?) hahah. Anyway, after we planned few times, finally we got to meet and we chose this place.

This place, Atlast Kahve & Kitchen, is located in Gading Serpong, near BPK Penabur area. You can just type the name on your waze or google maps. But I will put the address right here

From the front, it quite hard to know the place. It looks like home from the outside, but like more cozier home. And when you come inside, it quite spacious. So it could be the alternative if you want to throw some event here. When I came here and seen was, mostly people come here for doing some homeworks, or some works alone and with some friends. I could see why, they are spacious, they are cozy, they got good bite snack, main food, and drinks. But this place is good too if you just want to hang out or chilling out, like me. And they got different place for smoking and non smoking room so don't worry about that. They got big smoking room too.

So here's my friends! Let me introduce some of them. With the striped shirt, Nerissa. And the other one is Silvi. And the white shirt one is me!

And here's how I mostly took photo of food with camera. I bet you all know how it feels. Thats how we took photo so it looks good on social media, from the food just came out from the kitchen until it gets cold. HAHAHA

So, let's introduce the drink first. I ordered the Strawberry Mojito here. They said they didn't have the peppermint atm, so I just drink it without peppermint added. It taste still great though. But I just want to taste the carbonated water and strawberry. So it's all good to me. Reorder when came here? Absolutely yes if I don't want to drink the coffee and don't know what to drink.

And the second one, my friend orders the hot tea. They ordered two kind of tea. It looks the same from the outside. Got Namaste and Cherry Blossom tea. And they provide refill for the hot water if you want to. Namaste is peppermint and ginger tea, if you want something warm and good for your body. And the other one cherry blossom , indeed you can feel the scent of the cherry blossom.

So these are the food we all ordered. Lucky you if you're Zomato Gold member because you can use it here, without any people restrictions (ofc min 2 people). All menu could be used for Zomato Gold, except menu with beef and salmon. Kinda looks good in whole right? Yes, it is actually quite good and suit my palate. Not too sweet, not too salty.

First for the food! Its called Diyah Flashback. It is fragrant rice, with friend chicken and sambal matah. It quite good, not too spicy. Truthfully, I can't handle spicy taste. But I could handle this and eat this all. And you absolutely need to squeeze the lime over the sambal matah, just make the taste better and rich. If come here, maybe I would ordered this. But what I hate from eating this was the chicken. It still got bone, so it quite hard to eat this with your spoon and fork, with hand maybe easier. But not too good to be seen right by people at cafe right?

And this one, Fried Chicken Steak. The chicken was fillet one. Came with fries, some vegetables, and sauce. The sauce quite good. But the portion quite empty on the plate. If you are the big eater, probably this portion will not be enough for you, but it will if you are petite eater.

Oh, and we ordered the bite snack too. It is Pop Corn Chicken with Fries, with honey mustard sauce. The sauce makes the chicken and fries sweet, so if you don't put any chili or tomato sauce, it still good!

After came here, probably I will come here again to do some assignment and works. It quite good, not too bad and it is spacious. Not too noisy too, so it is good if you want to concentrate on your study and assignments. I rated here 8 out of 10. You could go to Zomato or Chope if you want to book the table, or you can call directly to them I guess.
